Method for suppressing the surface cracking in cold forging

$15.00

A criterion to predict surface crack occurrence in cold forging was proposed, and a method for suppressing cracking in production lines was investigated for a typical cold-forged steel, AISI105. Tests revealed that the most effective drawing condition for suppressing surface cracking in cold forging was to choose a die diameter as large as possible.
