Description
A cost effective, simple method to increase the efficiency of pickling solutions such as hydrochloric and sulfuric acids has been developed. This method utilizes additives readily available as commodity chemicals, such as hydrogen peroxide and/or sodium perchloride, to maintain the ferric iron content between one and two grams per liter. This will increase the pickling efficiency by up to 50 percent. Proper controls are key to the success of this method.
