Description
This paper describes research into the microhardness in the cross section of a Cu-Fe joint of bimetallic rod and plastic flow of its layer during rolling in a stretching pass from an initial bar produced by explosive technique. The microhardness research zone was 1.75-2.0 mm wide in the cross section around the Cu-Fe joint. Results of the research show a significant deviation in microhardness distribution in both layers near the joining border, which is an effect of inequality of strain and stress distribution into both components of the bimetallic bar that arises in the deformation zone.
