Modern centrifugation and the maintenance of wiredrawing lubricants

$15.00

This paper reviews the latest centrifuge technologies for cleaning and maintaining oil and emulsion lubricants for nonferrous wiredrawing. It will emphasize system design with regard to coolant delivery, tank configuration, heat removal and system controls. It will include: recent system concept using centrifuges as a primary and secondary filtering device; the internal dynamics of the centrifuge and how separation takes place; supporting data related to the use of centrifuges and the control of ash and fine levels; and the merits of using them to upgrade existing filter systems with centrifuges.
