This paper presents rolling and processing technology that can be incorporated in either existing mills or new mills in order to improve mill productivity, utilization and rod quality. Typical mill layouts are presented illustrating controlled temperature rolling, mini-blocks, rod sizing technology along with post rolling cooling systems.
