This paper will describe the benefits of modular machinery for multi-hole ferrous wiredrawing machines. The advances in control system design for the integration of the drives and control into the base of the machine are discussed, together with the standardization and the cost benefits that can occur. The advances in closed loop capstan cooling system are also described.
