Multi-pass wiredrawing of Mg alloys in a heated die with controlled recrystallization

$15.00

A new generation of magnesium alloys can by applied as surgical threads to the integration of tissue. This paper proposes a new production process of drawing in a heated die assisted by FEM modeling. The basis of the process is drawing in conditions in which recrystallization occurs. A numerical method is used to control recrystallization after every pass. This study proposes a model of static and dynamic recrystallization and a complex model of the drawing process.
