New approach for estimation of fatigue strength of wire rope

$15.00

This paper proposes a new approach to calculation of the fatigue strength of uncoated and zinc-coated wire rope. The proposed method offers the advantage of estimating fatigue properties on the basis of other wire properties. Indicators used in previous studies defined as the ratios of tensile strength to number of bends and number of twists has allowed calculation of the sum indicator Wd, which has been used for calculation of the coefficient K as a ratio of the fatigue strength to the aforementioned sum indicator.
