New developments in double-twist machines

$15.00

This paper will take a brief look back at double-twist machine design. No real dramatic changes have occurred, such as in the wiredrawing technology from single to multi-wiredrawing. One motor drove the complete machine, including the capstan via exchangeable gears and the spool via a clutch. The multi-wiredrawing machine process created a much lower production cost for flexible cables over the last 20 years. The demand for these cables increased dramatically, which also meant that many new bunchers were required.
