This paper addresses improvement for productivity on datacom and telecom cables. Technology used for automotive cables is adapted to these cables facilitating shorter runs and reducing inventory requirements. Various aspects of the manufacturing process are covered, including the requirement of storage racks. Increased productivity in the manufacturing process allows for the reduction of this storage system with an ability to respond quickly to customer order requirements.
