New process for linear low density black jacketing compounds

Union Carbide’s linear low density polyethylene jacketing compound, DFDA-6059 Black 9865, now the inudstry standard, has sustained a phenomenal growth rate since its introduction to the telephone cable industry in 1975. Fully two-thirds of all telephone cable manufactured in the U.S. in 1983 will be jacketed with linear compounds such as DFDA-6059 Black 9865.
