Non-lead PVC stabilizers for US wire and cable applications

$15.00

PVC stabilizers based on lead are the predominant method of stabilizing PVC compounds for U.S. wire and cable applications. Stabilizer systems based on the non-toxic metals calcium and zinc has made significant technological advances over the past ten years and can cost effectively replace lead based stabilizers in many wire and cable applications. This paper will compare the performance of recently developed calcium zinc stabilizers with that of their lead based counterparts in various wire and cable applications.
