Notched tensile low-temperature brittleness test for cable jacketing polyethylene

$15.00

Based on the standard ASTM D-746 test method for polyethylene cable jacketing compounds, this paper states that these compounds show brittleness properties much higher in temperature than would be expected from data on molded samples. Presented are testing variations, and a select test used to differentiate low temperature properties of conventional low-density polyethylene and a new low density, high performance, polyethylene cable jacketing compound. Data is presented for this Notched Tensile Low-Temperature Brittleness Test (NTLTB).
