Delphi Packard Electric Systems is a manufacturer of electrical and electronic assemblies and components for Delphi Automotive Systems. This includes, but is not limited to, power and signal distribution systems for automotive applications. Within these systems there are often requirements for cables that can withstand 125ï‚° C continuous operating temperatures. For these applications, crosslink polyethylene (XLPE) is generally the insulation of choice because of both its low cost and excellent performance history. However, the processes involved with stripping the XLPE cables have typically been negatively impacted if the materials and cable manufacturing processes are not well controlled.
