Due to the increased volumes of so-called LSFOH (low-smoke, free-of-halogen) compounds, the requirements for the fine precipitated aluminum hydrate used in these compounds have increased. This paper will focus on a new grade of fine precipitated aluminum hydroxide that offers excellent powder processing and outstanding compound properties. It outlines the processing behavior of this non-surface treated fine precipitated aluminum hydrate by presenting flow-, conveyance-, metering and dust-behavior measurements.
