Corsslinking of wire and cable insulation materials by electron beam (EB) radiation is now an established industrial process. The process is suitable for all insulation materials which may be crosslinked by thermochemical methods. In this paper we explore some of the reasons for the growth of this process and some of the aspects of the process technology.
