PD-135: a high-conductivity, high-strength, high-ductility, high copper alloy

$15.00

The precipitation hardening PD-135 high copper alloy (0.4% chromium, 0.4% cadmium; balance oxygen-free copper) is discussed. Effects of heat treatment and cold-working on tensile strength, elongation, hardness, and electrical conductivity of PD-135 rod, bar, and wire are presented. The alloy can be drawn to 40 AWG. It exhibits low stress relaxation, high ductility, high electrical and thermal conductivity, resistance to fatigue and softening at high temperatures, high flexure life, freedom from embrittlement, and good mechanical properties.
