In an article on the use of plastic materials for electrical insulation the use of cellulose acetate butyrate tape(CAB) and nylon are discussed. The chemical stability, low moisture absorption, and other properties of CAB are decribed, some applications are considered, and manufacturing techniques are discussed. The use of nylon to insulate XY terminal switch conductors is described; its solderability is considered.
