Possibilities of influencing residual stresses in drawn wires and bars

$15.00

The influence of row material (circulating error), die geometry (die radius, bearing length) and backpull on residual stresses is calculated after the drawing process by using the finite elemente method (FEM). On the basis of these results demands for row material properties and die design are presented.
