Predictive equations for the hardening by cold drawing of high carbon steel wire

$15.00

The purpose of this work was to find an equation to determine the ultimate tensile strength of high-carbon steel wire after reducing the area of the transverse section several percentages from the Stelmor cooling condition. This paper describes the procedure followed to get the equation and curves and presents an example for the design of drawing passes.
