Process simulation of drawing and cold heading processes

$15.00

Process simulation has been accepted and applied to a wide range of metal forming processes. Simulation of forming processes allows manufacturers to understand material flow, defect formation and die failure with far more certainty than simple experience. Examples of Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis of cold forming and drawing operations will be presented and discussed. Finally, a forecast of future process modeling capabilities including optimization and integrated analysis techniques will be included.
