Kobe Steel produces bearing quality steel through the BOF-LF-CC process. Reduction of inclusions in steel improves fatigue life. Oxygen and titanium contents are easily decreased by the BOF-LF process. Center segregation is improved mechanically before complete solidification, so that this steel can be used for ball applications.
