This paper will discuss technology for significant improvements in productivity that can be gained by using new generation synthetic wiredrawing lubricants in the drawing of copper, copper alloys, and specialist hard materials. It will show how increased die life, improved surface finish, and a reduction in wire breaks can be realized to increase productivity and reduce costs.
