Description
There are many causes of spark test failure, but one factor which has been found to be significant is the PVC compound selection. An “L16” orthogonal-array statistically designed experiment (DOE) was done in a THHN wire production plant, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was done, which showed the significance of contributing factors, including compound selection. Interactions with construction details and process parameters were also looked at to evaluate the “robustness” of the compound.
