Quality enhancement of ultrafine magnet wire utilizing failure analysis

$15.00

Drawing ultrafine magnet wire has its own specific challenges. Drawing wire to 44 and 56 awg requires that extremely tight operational conditions be maintained in order to optimize the wiredrawing process. Required diagnostic tools necessary to accomplish the desired level of quality and productivity include sufficient data collection of relevant parameters and a well-established wire failure collection system with the subsequent analysis. In this paper some of the data collection, microscopic analysis and various failure modes are discussed.
