Reduced emissions cable jacket

$15.00

The reduction of flammability and emissions of wire and cable covering can have a significant impact on fire hazards, and there is evidence that reduced emissions cable is superior in this regard to cable jacketed with polyvinylchloride (PVC). This paper discusses the advantages of the non-halogen flame retardant materials produced by Union Carbide with special discussion given to toxicity test methods and documentation of the strong performance of non-halogen hydrated mineral fillers. New products from Union Carbide are described.
