Reducing material cost by replacing an old extruder line with a new

$15.00

This paper will highlight the biggest savings potential of investing in a new extrusion line that result from minimizing material usage, and therefore material cost, during the manufacturing process, due to increased process stability and control. To be able to study and fully evaluate those differences, an off-line measuring method with higher accuracy than the line variations must be used. An automatic imaging system with a typical repeat accuracy of 0.01 mm (0.4 mils) was used.
