Reduction of energy consumption in drawing process in result of drawing method change and modification of shape of the approach and bearing part of the die

$15.00

This paper presents analysis of the possibilities of reduction of energy consumption in the drawing of high-carbon steel wire. The drawing process was conducted in conventional and hydrodynamic dies. It also estimates the influence of modification of the shape of the approach and bearing part of the die. Theoretical and experimental investigation has been carried out for wire drawn in different conditions in which drawing force and stress, drawing power, drawing work, and temperature were determined.
