Relation between texture and drawability of steelcord

$15.00

Steelcord, which is composed of pearlitic steel, is ued in the construction of tire. During the drawiing process of steelcord, the grains of the material achieve orientation. The crystallographic texture which describes the orinetation depends on the drawing conditions. This study shows that the crystallographic texture defined by an index varies considerably across the wire section. On the surface of the wire, the index is low while this index increases toward the center of the wire.
