Description

A recommendation for an industry-wide reduction in the styles and sizes of woven wire fence produced is discussed. A general conference of manufacturers, distributors, and users held in 1923 reduced the styles of fence from 552 to 69, and sizes of fence packages from 2072 to 138. After five years, it was evident that the changes were of material benefit to all concerned. The numbers of manufacturers, distributors, users, and organized consumer groups accepting the new recommendations of the conference are listed.
