Role of stream descaling on steel wire rod

$15.00

This paper describes the effect of stream descaling of steel wire rod on the parameters of the drawing process, mechanical properties and state of the surface layers of wires of two steel grades (D75 and D55). It presents the results of research of surface texture of wire rods (pickled and stream descaled) and drawn wires, amounts of lubricants on wire surfaces, longitudinal residual stresses, draw forces and mechanical properties (Rm, Ro.2, A100).
