Scale and mechanical descaling of steel wire rod

$15.00

Results of laboratory tests of a mechanical descaling method which involves stretching of 5.5 mm rods are presented. This method must be supplemented by shot blasting or phosphoric acid pickle to remove embedded scale. As-rolled wire rod scale, strain descaling, descaling curve, initial scale weight, roughness, rod for welding wire, elongation speed, scale under the microscope, and extra cleaning of wire rod are considered.
