Syndie a synthetic diamond composite material consisting of an intergrown mass of randomly orientated diamond particles. After processing, the resulting product is polycrystalline diamond (PCD) with a considerable degre of inter-growth between diamon particles. The major differences between natural diamonds and PCD is in the structural-mechanical properties. Comparisons for both die materials are presented in this article.
