Description
Presented are different types of metallic conductors used under various types of high-temperature insulations. The discussion is limited to types of base metals, metallic coating materials, and various configurations of stranded conductors. Electrical and physical properties are discussed for base metals and advantages versus disadvantages of different metallic coatings are covered in detail. Different methods of stranding conductors are presented with their effects on the finished properties.
