A simple way of cable scrap separation for purposes of recycling of cable scrap is outlined. The method of choice is mechanical, and steps include; precutting, granulating and separating. The processing flow of the separation plant is illustrated. Auxiliary functions, limitations, profitablility, reclamation costs and potential for sink/float separation are discussed.
