Simulation of drawing as an important stage in the steel bolt manufacturing chain

$15.00

Modelling techniques, capable of solving various problems occurring in industrial metal forming processes, are used in this paper to simulate the entire chain of material behaviour at various manufacturing stages. Forging of connecting parts made ofbainitic steel is investigated as an example. Particular attention is put on the drawing as a key process in designing the properties of the final product: Selected results of numerical simulation and optimization of manufacturing chain composed of drawing, cutting, multi step forging and machining operations is presented and discussed in the paper.
