Some experiences in manufacturing of tin plated brass square wires with a size 12 mm

$15.00

A brass square wire with a size of 1.2 mm is used as a joining element in telephonic centrals of “PENTACONTA” systems. In this study, four different variants of a production of this special type of wire have been applied taking into account requirements for the final wires determined in the material specification. Properties of those wires concerned with the following features were detailed and described: thickness of tin or tin alloy coatings, soldering properties of the coatings, and the potential for a minimal radius of the square edge.
