Some observations on pressure of copper alloy extrusions

$15.00

Equations that can be used to calculate starting pressures for the direct extrusion of Cu alloys are presented. General equations as well as equations refined by test run data for specific alloys (70-30 brass and 70-30 cupro-nickel) are given. Chief parameters are the force needed to accomplish deformation and overcome friction, billet dimensions, and temperature.
