This presentation discusses intricacies of specifying induction heating equipment for the wire industry. Special attention will be paid to selection of proper frequency, coil arrangement and power supply when heating ferrous and nonferrous wires, ropes and cables.
Case studies and analysis of typical mistakes will be presented in this paper, as well as discussion on peculiarities of mathematical modeling of induction wire and cable heating processes.
