Steel cord production from cc-billets at ISPAT HSW

$15.00

Based on its intended function as an integrated mini mill, ISPAT HSW demonstrates the reliability in a highly demanding market of an EAF/LF operation and conversion of cc-billets into wire rods within the process route DRI. The facility produced a wide range of steel grades for steel cord applications covering products like tire/hose wires or special flattening. This paper reports physical properties of wire rods and wires for selected grades, as well as results of process and quality control in steel production.
