Description

In the past decade there have been some important newcomers to the field of wire and cable production equipment, such as the central strander and the monobitorsion strander. This equipment implements new technical solutions in many areas, including control of the tension of the single wires and the softness of the deviations of the produced strand. This paper will illustrate the key factors taken into consideration during the development of the new stranders and the solutions which have been chosen for their success.
