At the present time, the dimensioning of the different reduction ratios in a multistage wiredrawing process is mainly fixed by experience. The finite element simulation is a powerful tool to evaluate the whole system. For this reason, a specific subroutine has been written in order to consider the propagating effects of the drawing force relevant.
