Study of the ductility of wire rod for welding wire with high manganese and silicon contents

$15.00

The results of laboratory experiments conducted to define the nature and causes of yellow phase in welding wire rod with high manganese and silicon contents are presented. The effects of controlled cooling and the influence of chemical composition are considered. The occurrence of retained austenite is suggested to cause a 25% decrease in the reduction of area of manganese-silicon alloy, which in turn diminishes the yellow phase phenomenon.
