Study of the texture evolution in steelcord

$15.00

The cold drawing process of a perlitic steel wire leads to a considerably textured compound. The mechanical behaviour will depend on this crystallographic texture. The texture variations in the wire sections, measured by X-Ray diffraction, are described by the evolutions of corrected pole figures, which define the local orientations of crystallites in the drawed material. A texture index is defined; it reflects the texture sharpness and can be evaluated.
