Study of the thermal diffusion of brass coating on steel cord

$15.00

Copper and zinc sequential plating followed by a thermal diffusion provides brass coated wires. In this study, the diffusion rate is measured by: surface analysis methods as glow discharge spectroscopy, S.E.M. X-ray spectrometry and volumic analysis methods of the brass layer as x-ray diffraction and x-ray fluorescence. All these complementary methods allow us to know the duration and the diffusion temperature needed to obtain a layer of a brass.
