Study on parameters influencing the corrosion of metallic coatings on wire exposed to marine environments

$15.00

This study focuses on the influence of specific parameters on wire corrosion with special emphasis on zinc and Zn-5%Al coatings. The mode of capture of marine aerosols and the influence of wire surface roughness are discussed for large and small marine aerosol particle sizes. It is also shown that the integrity of ternary alloy coating is a critical factor influencing long-term performance of Zn-5% Al coated wire in atmospheric marine environments.
