Surface layers of steel wires drawn from wire rods descaled by stream method

$15.00

Surface layers of steel wires drawn from wire rods descaled by stream method and acid picking have been compared. A surface roughness (Rv, Rt, Rsk, Vo) and longitudinal residual stresses were determined. Residual stresses were found to be smaller in wires drawn from rod descaled by stream method. Analysis of surface roughness parameters has provided the explanation of the role of interaction of lubricant with metal surface leading to the elimination of lubricant carrier.
