Tension behavior of optical fiber in finishing processes

$15.00

The phenomena affecting the fiber tension in manufacturing processes, especially in finishing processes, were evaluated theoretically. The theoretical analysis covered fiber drawing, proof testing, fiber coloring and ribbon manufacturing. Based on this theory, a wide series of experiments was made. The tension changes in the fiber were measured when passing the different elements of the finishing process, i.e., dancers, capstans, idle wheels and winders.
