Description
The possible reduction of production cost as a result of higher drawing speeds and rational automation of nonferrous wiredrawing is discussed. The operation of a machine running at 35 m/sec is compared to that of one designed for operation at 60 m/sec. A recently developed automatic single spooler is presented; advantages include high speed and 100% reliability. The economical aspects of drawing at low and high speeds with and without an automatic single spooler are compared.
