A color reflectometer, developed and constructed to provide automatic and continuous measurement of the color of the oxide coating on the surface of drawn tungsten wire, is described. Test results are presented which demonstrate adequate sensitivity and stability. Reflectivity and uniformity of coatings of constant color can also be detected.
